Sprint, one of the last defenders of unlimited data, will begin throttling top data users on June 1. The network used to joke about the other carrier's data caps and throttling, but is now beginning to join the club. The company said that it needs to throttle the top 5% of data users to provide the best quality for other users in times of limited bandwidth. Source

Facebook has acquired the fitness tracking app Moves. Despite the purchase, the Moves developers insist that the app will remain relatively unchanged. The developers hope the partnership with Facebook will further the reach of the app. Facebook is the latest of the large companies in acquiring a fitness app. Facebook wishes to compete in the fitness market especially the wearables including watches and bracelets. Senators are attempting to amend a bill that would curb excessive patent litigation. The bill would require the losers of the lawsuit to pay the winner. The senators think that this bill will keep long and baseless patent lawsuits out of the courts. Mark Zuckerberg is not pleased with the NSA's spying using Facebook. Zuckerberg claims that the NSA impersonated a Facebook server to install malware on users computers that allows the NSA to use the webcam and microphone with out the users knowledge. The NSA has obviously denied these reports. Zuckerberg has voiced these complaints to President Obama, but it is evident that full reform will take a long time. These accusations are eye opening and disturbing. Source

Federal Aviation Administration has ruled that using drones for commercial use is not illegal. A judge says that the FAA has no legally binding rules to prevent drone use. There may be new regulations coming down the line, but for now there are none. This is good news for Amazon and UPS who have recently announced drone programs. Source

With the unveiling of the Galaxy s5, Samsung and Snapdragon unveiled the new processor. The two variants of the phone will have two different processors. The low end phone will have 2.1 GHz and the high end will have 2.5 GHz. The higher end will be a 64 bit processor. The high end processor will be the best on the market.
