The NYPD is testing out Google Glass
The NYPD is trying out the Google Glass for officers on patrol. After a ruling that stop and frisk violated rights, the judge ordered five precincts to test wearable cameras. Google Glass could fill this need. Glass is a pair of glasses that have a viewable interface, with a camera, on the top of the right lens. Glass comes from Google's special projects division, Google X.  A Google representative says that the company is not working with the NYPD. He says that the police department probably got them through the Explorer program and payed $1,500 for each. The Glass are still in the beta test for the NYPD. Source
